How do I connect my inventory with Counterpoint?

To automate your inventory sync, you will need to generate a data file from your database server that Counterpoint uses and schedule an automated delivery via SFTP. If you require technical assistance, contact [email protected] or (303) 692-8200.

1. Generate Your Inventory File Start by creating a batch file using a SQL command which will be run from your Counterpoint system. Download sample SQL scripts here to get started.

  • Required Fields: Vendor UPC/EAN and Quantity on Hand
  • Optional Field: Price
  • Format: Must be .csv, .txt, .xls, or .xlsx. (Physical inventory only) Please see our general guidelines for any format questions.
  1. Generate Your Locally File Transfer Credentials Locally pulls your inventory automatically via SFTP.

Important: Your password will be displayed only once upon generation. Copy and store it in a secure location (like a password manager) immediately.

3. Automate File Delivery Use a tool like GoodSync (Free) to move the files from your server to SFTP using the credentials generated in Step 2. 4. Once your automated sync is active, email [email protected].
