How do I share my inventory in Lightspeed X with Locally?

Step-by-Step Connection Instructions

1. Access the Locally Dashboard

  • Log into your Locally account.
  • Navigate to the left-hand menu and select Inventory > Inventory Feed Setup.

2. Select your POS System

  • Once on the Setup screen, locate the dropdown list of supported POS providers.
  • Select Lightspeed X from the list.
  • Click the Connect button.

3. Authenticate with Lightspeed

  • You will be redirected to the Lightspeed login page. Enter your Lightspeed credentials.
  • After logging in, an authorization screen will appear stating: "Locally is requesting access to your Lightspeed Retail account."

4. Approve Permissions

You must accept the permissions for Catalog, Inventory, and Setup.

  • Why? These allow Locally to read your product data and store locations to ensure accuracy on the map.
  • Security Note: Locally is granted read-only access. We cannot alter your prices, delete products, or change your stock levels within Lightspeed.
  • Click the Approve Installation button. You will be automatically redirected back to Locally.

Retrieves your physical store addresses and business hours.

5. Mapping Your Locations

After redirection, the final step is linking your physical stores.

  • Automatic Mapping: If you have exactly one location in Locally and one in Lightspeed, the system will pair them automatically.
  • Manual Mapping: For multi-store retailers, use the dropdown menus to match each Locally Location to its corresponding Lightspeed Outlet.
  • Missing Stores? If a store is missing on the Locally side, navigate to Store Info > Locations to add it before completing the map.

Once complete**,** click Map Locations. Your initial inventory upload will begin in a few hours.
