How do I connect with the POS square?

Connect Your Square Inventory To connect your Square account to Locally, follow these structured steps. This process uses a secure OAuth "handshake," ensuring Locally can sync your inventory without ever seeing your Square password.

Step-by-Step Connection Instructions

  1. Access the Locally Dashboard
  • Log into your Locally account.
  • Navigate to the left-hand menu and select Inventory > Inventory Feed Setup.
  1. Select your POS System
  • Once on the Setup screen, locate the dropdown list of supported POS providers.
  • Select Square from the list.
  • Click the Connect button.
  1. Authenticate with Square
  • You will be redirected to the Square login page if not logged in already.
  • Once logged in, an authorization screen will appear stating: "Locally wants access to your Square Account"
  • Press the Allow button to complete the connection.
  • You'll be redirected by the Locally interface.
  1. Mapping Your Locations
  • After redirection, the final step is linking your physical stores.
  • Automatic Mapping: If you have exactly one location in Locally and one in Square, the system will pair them automatically.
  • Manual Mapping: For multi-store retailers, use the dropdown menus to match each Locally Location to its corresponding Square location.
  • Missing Stores? If a store is missing on the Locally side, navigate to Store Info > Locations to add it before completing the map.
  1. Once complete, click Map Locations. Your initial inventory upload will begin in a few hours.
